Yukon Button-Up

I don’t normally test back to back patterns, but I couldn’t resist applying for this one.  I’ve made the classic oxford pattern several times, but Pieter has gotten too big for it.  I’ve been looking for something similar in a men’s size, but wasn’t coming up with anything great.

This is the size extra small in the new men’s Yukon Button-Up pattern.  I made two.  Some people were having trouble with the arm holes being too tight, so the designer put out a second version.  The first version turned out to be a better fit for Pieter since he’s skinnier, but both are great and he should be able to wear the second version for longer.

I think I’ve finally gotten over my fear of buttonholes.  It wasn’t a fear of making buttonholes, but a fear of placing them.  It’s tough to get those puppies even!

Pieter was pleased with the shirts, although decidedly less pleased that I made him pose outside for photos!

Nice! Paul outgrew his Star Wars shirt as well. We will pass it on to Titus.

He looks SO old and handsome. Again — such a perfect mixture of you and André!
